Binwalk v0.3.4 Released!

Version 0.3.4 of binwalk has just been released. New and improved signatures have been added to the magic file, and more importantly, an update feature has been built in that lets you update your magic file definitions to the latest SVN check in.

To update your magic signatures, just run:

# binwalk -u

New file system signatures have also been added in this release, as well as improved LZMA signatures.

    Hi,
Thank you very much for binwalk. Its a really usefull programm. Is it possible to give binwalk more than one file as argument?
    Eg:
    # binwalk ./*
    Instead of
    #for i in ‘ls’ do ‘binwalk …

    Thank you

Thanks Chris, glad you’ve found it useful!

Currently binwalk only takes one file as a target. Multiple files may be an additional feature in a future release.

I had some time tonight to work on this. The latest SVN check in supports specifying multiple files on the command line.
